Seven killed in Yobe auto crash

Seven persons have been confirmed dead in a road crash along the Damaturu–Maiduguri highway in Yobe State.

Zagazola Makama gathered from sources that the accident, which occurred on Tuesday, also left several other passengers with varying degrees of injuries.

The crash involved a commercial vehicle heading towards Maiduguri, which lost control and somersaulted along the highway.

Local residents and good Samaritans who rushed to the scene helped evacuate victims to a nearby hospital, where medical personnel confirmed seven dead on arrival.

Hospital sources said those injured are currently receiving treatment, with some in critical condition.
