Troops Arrest Six After Clash Between Fulani Families in Plateau

Troops of Sector 4, Sub-Sector 41, Operation ENDURING PEACE, have arrested six suspects following a clash between two Fulani families at Semfos Kazok Village in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Zagazola Makama gathered that the incident occurred at about 9:30 a.m. on Monday, August 17, when troops deployed in the Gashish axis responded to a report of the clash.
The troops swiftly intervened upon arrival at the scene and brought the situation under control, preventing further escalation of the conflict.
Six suspects were subsequently arrested and taken into custody for profiling as security personnel commenced efforts to establish the circumstances surrounding the clash.
Efforts are also ongoing by the security forces and relevant stakeholders to mediate between the two families and resolve the dispute peacefully.
The intervention is part of ongoing efforts by Operation ENDURING PEACE to prevent communal disputes from escalating into wider violence across Plateau State.
