Troops arrest suspected terrorist informant in Ngamdu, Borno

Troops of 154 Task Force Battalion, in collaboration with Forest Guards and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have arrested a suspected terrorist informant and collaborator in Ngamdu, Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State.

Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the suspect, identified as 20-year-old Bacha Modu Isah, was arrested at about 10:10 p.m. on Sept. 2, 2026, following credible intelligence.

Preliminary interrogation revealed that the suspect is a native of Gowo Village in Kaga LGA.

During the operation, troops recovered a charm, lighter, ring and a leather item from the suspect.

The suspect is currently in military custody for further investigation and appropriate action.

The arrest forms part of ongoing efforts by security forces to identify and disrupt terrorist informants, collaborators and support networks operating within communities in the North-East.
