Troops foil armed robbery attempt in plateau

Troops of Operation Enduring Peace have foiled a suspected armed robbery attempt along a highway in Bindi Village, Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Security sources said the operation occurred at about 11:02 p.m. on March 21, when Sector 6 OPEP troops responded to intelligence on the activities of suspected armed robbers who had blocked the highway targeting motorists.
The sources added that upon arrival, the criminals abandoned their mission and fled the scene.
Troops subsequently cleared the highway to ensure the free flow of traffic and established dominance over the general area, reinforcing security in the locality.
