Troops Intercept Suspected Terrorist, Recover Phones, Cash in Kogi

Troops of the 12 Brigade have intercepted a suspected terrorist and recovered three mobile phones, an MP3 player and cash during a security operation in Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Security sources said the suspect was intercepted at about 5:20 p.m. on July 2 along the Owara–Atsawa Road in Lokoja LGA.
The sources said a preliminary investigation revealed photographs and videos of suspected terrorist activities stored on the suspect’s mobile phone.
According to the sources, troops recovered three mobile phones, an MP3 player and the sum of N19,200 from the suspect.
The sources added that the suspect and the recovered items were in military custody for further investigation and necessary action.
