Troops Rescue Gunshot Victim After Fulani Bandits Attack in Plateau

Troops of Sector 3, Operation ENDURING PEACE, have rescued a gunshot victim following an isolated attack by Fulani Bandits in Rafin Bauna Village, Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The incident occurred at about 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 17, when troops deployed at DTV6 responded to reports of gunshots in the community.
Zagazola Makama gathered that the intervention of the troops forced the gunmen to flee the area.
The troops subsequently exploited the area and rescued a victim identified as Mr. Bulus, who sustained gunshot wounds during the attack.
The victim was evacuated to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
Meanwhile, the troops have intensified aggressive fighting patrols within the general area as part of efforts to track the fleeing attackers and prevent further attacks.
Security forces are also maintaining vigilance in the area to safeguard residents and restore normalcy.
