Troops Rescue Kidnapped Woman in Plateau

Troops of Operation Enduring Peace have rescued one of two victims kidnapped in Nhantina Village, Mbar District, Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The victims, identified as Mr. Isah Ndal and Mrs. Cecilia Isah, were abducted in the community before troops of Sector 5, Operation Enduring Peace, commenced search operations in the general area.
A military security source told Zagazola Makama that the troops, at about 2:40 a.m. on August 16, 2026, located and rescued Mrs. Cecilia Isah during the ongoing search operation.
The rescued victim was subsequently debriefed by the security personnel and reunited with her family.
The troops have, however, intensified search operations in the area as efforts continue to locate and rescue the remaining victim, Mr. Isah Ndal.
Operation Enduring Peace has continued to sustain patrols and search operations across vulnerable communities in Plateau State as part of efforts to deny criminal elements freedom of action and protect residents.
