Troops Respond to Terrorist Attack in Kaduna, One Civilian Shot

Troops under Sector 1 of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have responded to a distress call following a suspected terrorist attack in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Security sources reliably informed that the incident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. on April 29 in Jarhawa village, when suspected terrorists reportedly attacked civilians.
The sources said troops deployed at Forward Operating Base Sabon Birni swiftly mobilised to the scene after receiving the distress call.
According to the sources, the attackers fled on sighting the advancing troops, abandoning the area.
One civilian was discovered with gunshot wounds and was immediately attended to, the sources added.
They further stated that the area had been secured, while efforts were ongoing to track the fleeing attackers and prevent further incidents.
