Two Community Policing Members Killed, Firearms Stolen in Zamfara Bandit Attack

The Zamfara State Police Command has confirmed the killing of two members of the Community Policing Group (CPG) by suspected bandits in Zurmi Local Government Area.
Sources said the incident occurred at about 7:10 p.m. on Saturday when the victims — identified as Usman Wanzam and Suleman Tayo — were attacked alongside a colleague, Hassan Lawali, while travelling from Kaiwa Lamba to Kaura Namoda.
According to the source, Wanzam and Tayo were shot dead, while Lawali narrowly escaped.
The attackers reportedly carted away the firearms of the deceased officers.
