Armed bandits kill farmer in Niger

Armed bandits have killed a 52-year-old man in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.
Sources said the attack occurred on Aug. 31 at about 3:20 a.m. when armed bandits invaded Layi village, Bassa district of Shiroro.
The sources said the hoodlums shot and killed one Yusuf Ayuba, a farmer and resident of the village.
Sources said operatives of Erena Division and Shiroro Area Command visited the scene and conveyed the corpse to the hospital.
The sources added that efforts were ongoing to track down the perpetrators.
