Bandits kill one, abduct two minors in Kontagora

Armed bandits have killed one person and abducted two teenagers during an attack on Unguwan-Zuru village in Kontagora Local Government Area of Niger State.

 

Sources told Zagazola that the incident occurred at about 3:10 a.m. on Wednesday.

 

The attackers, who stormed the community in large numbers, shot dead a resident, identified as Danjuma Gambo, aged 45.

 

They also whisked away two boys, Ibrahim Danjuma and Paska Kokko, both aged 15, to an unknown destination.

 

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the General Hospital, Kontagora, for autopsy.

 

Search parties were said to have been mobilised to rescue the kidnapped victims and track down the perpetrators.
