Clashes in Ala Forest with Fulani Leave Two Dead, One Injured

At least two people have been killed and another injured following a violent clash between hunters and suspected Fulani herdsmen in Ala Forest, Ondo State.

 

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred on March 18 at around 11:30 a.m. when a group of hunters allegedly ambushed the herdsmen within the forest. 

 

During the confrontation, one Jimoh Nasiru (40) was shot dead at the ambush site, while two others sustained gunshot wounds. 

 

One of the injured, identified as Sani Isah, later died at the hospital, while Wahab Bello remains under medical treatment.

 

The sources said that Mr Saidu Sadiku, Chairman of the Ebira Community in the Power Line axis of Ala Forest, informed that the bodies of the deceased were immediately transported to Okene for burial in accordance with Islamic rites.
