Police Arrest Two Armed Robbery Suspects, Recover Pistol in Abuja

The Nigerian Police Force(NPF) FCT Command have arrested two suspected armed robbers, recovering a Beretta pistol and four rounds of live ammunition, after they attempted to kidnap two victims and extort ₦20 million in Efab Global Estate, Abuja.

 

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the  suspects, identified as Daniel Amos and David Wagwu, allegedly attacked Zakari Farouk and Salisu Alero, both residents of Kubwa, who had visited a female acquaintance, Uju, in the estate.

 

Armed with a gun, the suspects forced the victims into a Mercedes Benz C-Class E350 (2012 model) and demanded ₦20 million ransom as they attempted to drive them out of the estate.

 

However, security personnel at the estate gate intercepted the vehicle and apprehended the suspects before they could escape.

 

Sources from the FCT Police Command confirmed that the suspects are currently in custody undergoing interrogation, while further investigations are ongoing to uncover any accomplices.
