Security forces conduct show of force, protect Juma’at prayers in Jos-Bukuru

Security forces under Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP), in collaboration with 551 Nigerian Air Force Station, Operation Keystone, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and other security agencies, conducted a show of force across major flashpoints within the Jos-Bukuru metropolis on Sept. 25.
The operation, conducted at about 1:45 p.m., formed part of proactive security measures to ensure hitch-free Juma’at prayers across various sectors and sub-sectors within the Joint Operations Area.
The security agencies deployed personnel to strategic locations and worship centres to provide adequate security before, during and after the Friday prayers.
The show of force was also aimed at deterring criminal elements from exploiting the period to carry out attacks or other acts capable of disrupting public peace.
Security personnel maintained visible presence across the metropolis while monitoring movement and responding to any emerging security concerns.
The coordinated deployment reflects ongoing efforts by the security agencies to strengthen public safety through preventive operations and inter-agency cooperation.
