Security forces in Niger State have foiled an attempted kidnapping in Mashegu Local Government Area, recovering a motorcycle and other items abandoned by the fleeing suspects.

According to sources, on Jan. 24 at about 2 a.m., unidentified armed men reportedly invaded the residence of Alhaji Abdullahi of Kusoko Village and attempted to abduct two of his sons, Abubakar Audu and Alhaji Saidu Audu.

“During the attempted abduction, the victims shouted for help, forcing the assailants to abandon the mission and flee after inflicting injuries.

The suspects left behind a Houojoe motorcycle, two mobile phones, and a power bank,” the source said.

The victims were rushed to Ibbi Health Care Centre, where they are receiving medical attention.
