Security Operatives Arrest Five Suspects During Raid on Criminal Hideouts in Adamawa

Troops of 232 Battalion (Tactical), in collaboration with other security agencies and local vigilantes, have arrested five suspects during a fighting patrol targeting criminal hideouts in Mubi metropolis, Adamawa State.

Security sources said the operation was conducted at about 6:00 a.m. on May 15, 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to tackle criminal activities within the area.

According to the sources, the troops carried out the patrol alongside personnel of the Nigeria Police Force, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and local hunters and vigilante groups.

The joint team reportedly raided several suspected criminal hideouts within Mubi metropolis, leading to the arrest of five suspects.

The apprehended suspects were subsequently handed over to the Nigeria Police Force for further investigation and prosecution.

Security authorities said the operation was part of sustained efforts to improve security and deny criminals freedom of action in Adamawa State.
