Troops Arrest Suspected Impostor in Edo Community

Troops of the 12 Brigade, operating under Operation WABAZIGAN and deployed at Okomu, have arrested a suspected impostor during a routine patrol in Iguobazuwa community, Ovia South-West Local Government Area of Edo State.
Military sources said the suspect was apprehended at about 12:00 noon on June 17 after he was found allegedly impersonating a member of the Nigerian Army.
Items recovered from him included a Nigerian Army identity card, a camouflage face cap, two mobile phones, and the sum of N1,800.
The suspect and the recovered items are currently in military custody pending further investigation and subsequent action.
Authorities said the arrest forms part of ongoing efforts to curb impersonation and other related security breaches within the area.
