Troops of 22 Brigade, Sector 1, Operation Safe Savannah Shield, have arrested a suspected terrorist collaborator during an offensive operation in Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State.
Sources informed Zagazola that the operation was conducted at about 1:30 a.m. on April 4 in Shekuti, Gamji and Ndeji villages.
According to the source, troops carried out coordinated clearance operations in the communities, leading to the arrest of one suspected terrorist collaborator.
“The suspect is currently in troops’ custody for further investigation and necessary action,” the source said.
He added that the operation formed part of ongoing efforts to deny terrorist elements freedom of movement and disrupt their support networks across the theatre.
The source said troops remained committed to sustaining pressure on criminal elements and ensuring safety in Kwara and adjoining areas.
