Troops of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP) have intercepted 29 cattle allegedly grazing in a restricted area at Bwor Village, Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Security sources said the incident occurred at about 5:30 p.m. on October 30, 2026, when troops of Sector 8, deployed at Bwor, intercepted the livestock during a routine patrol.

The sources said the cattle were found grazing in a restricted area within the village, prompting the troops to move the livestock to a safe location for further action.

The interception is part of ongoing efforts by troops to enforce restrictions on unauthorised grazing and prevent potential conflicts between farmers and herders in the area.

Further action is expected to be taken in accordance with established procedures.
