Ogun Police Arrest Four Students Over Alleged Malicious Damage at Secondary School

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested four students over alleged conduct likely to cause breach of peace and malicious damage at Unity High School, Ago Ika.
According to sources, the incident occurred on 19 June 2026 at about 1430hrs when the Principal of the school, Fagbemi Tosin, reported a disturbance involving students running in different directions within the school premises.
The principal stated that on closer inspection, he observed some senior students carrying sticks and throwing stones, which allegedly led to the breaking of staff room windows and the deflation of vehicle tyres within the school compound. The situation reportedly created panic among staff and students.
Upon receipt of the report, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) led a team of surveillance and patrol operatives to the scene, where the situation was brought under control.
Four students were arrested with the assistance of school authorities. They are Sulaiman Mubarak, 14; Adegboyega Semiat, 16; Olusoji Johnson, 15; and Chinonso Nwaja, 18.
The Command said the suspects have been taken into custody for interrogation, while investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
It added that further developments will be communicated in due course.
